The short version

HedgeHacks is dedicated to a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, previous hackathon attendance, or computing experience.

Be respectful. Ask before photographing someone. Stop when asked. Harassment, intimidation, unwanted sexual attention, sustained disruption, and discriminatory language are not acceptable.

What happens if there is a problem

Participants asked to stop harmful behavior must comply immediately. Organizers may warn or remove anyone whose behavior makes the event unsafe. During the event, contact the named safety lead or any identifiable organizer. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
